WORCESTER COUNTY – Parishes around the Diocese of Worcester held Via Crucis – the Way of the Cross – on Good Friday, April 3. Crowds walked and prayed on the streets in their respective city/town. Some people dressed up during the live Stations of the Cross where they portrayed Jesus’ way to Calvary where he was crucified and died.
Photographed here are the events from St. Joan of Arc, Worcester; St. Peter Parish, Worcester; St. John Paul II Parish, Southbridge; and the Fitchburg parishes.
In downtown Worcester, Bishop McManus and other clergy led the Stations of the Cross from St. John Parish to St. Paul Cathedral.
