The 2025 Worcester Catholic Women’s Conference includes in the speakers lineup, Adam Janke, from St. Paul Street Evangelization.
SPSE is a grassroots, non-profit organization, dedicated to responding to this call of Catholics to spread the Good News of the Gospel. The mission of SPSE reflects the mandate given us by Jesus himself and that was reiterated by the Second Vatican Council – that is to encourage the baptized to bring the person of Jesus Christ, the Gospel, and the truth and beauty of the Catholic faith to the world. They carry out this mission by providing the tools and resources for Catholics to engage with individuals using a simple, non-confrontational method that has created teams of evangelists throughout the United States and internationally. More information on SPSE can be found at streetevagelization.com.
Mr. Janke is a “revert” to the Catholic faith. He was raised Lutheran and became Baptist as a teenager. As a Baptist, he spent time challenging Catholics on an online Baptist forum.
Through his interactions in this forum, he realized much of what he was taught about Catholics and the faith were not true. So, while trying to evangelize Catholics, he became one. Adam went on to obtain a bachelor’s degree in theology and catechetics and a master’s degree in theology and Christian ministry from Franciscan University.
After serving as a director of Religious Education and youth minister he felt the call to do more to spread the Gospel and came across a Facebook posting of a friend featuring St. Paul Street Evangelization. He was impressed with their work and knew he wanted to be a part of their mission. He has been spreading the Good News using the resources and tools provided by SPSE since 2012. His story is one of many featured in the book, “Catholic Street Evangelization- Stories of Conversion and Witness.” Adam currently oversees the day-to-day operations of St. Paul Street Evangelization as their chief operating officer.
Mr. Janke has been featured on EWTN Television and Radio, Catholic Answers Live, the Radio Maria Network, the National Catholic Register, as well as in several other Catholic news publications. He resides in Michigan with his wife and seven children. He will be speaking on “Ways to Bring Back Children and Others to the Faith.”
Also speaking at the conference will be Father Matthew Norwood, a pastor from the Archdiocese of Boston; Noelle Mering, fellow at the Ethics and Public Policy Center in Washington, D.C.; Dr. Madeline Colon-Usowicz, a local family physician; and Tim Francis, a Catholic speaker and author.
In addition to the speakers’ program, priests will be available for the sacrament of reconciliation during the lunch break. The conference will begin with adoration and the rosary led by Bishop McManus who will also celebrate the vigil Mass at 5 p.m. in St. Joseph Basilica.
Tickets are $50, but will increase to $60 after Sept. 16. Student tickets (16-22) are $25. Both include a continental breakfast and lunch.
